21st September 2015

I went for a walk along Rainbow Trail yesterday and much to my dog’s disgust it turned into more of a photo shoot than an exercise session for her, the wildflowers were just amazing and the river is flowing fast. So don’t forget that when you come down to bring your walking shoes or your mountain bikes as it is a ‘must do’. I have attached some photos but as usual as an amateur my photos don’t do them justice.

This was like a mat of tiny flowers.

It’s time to start showcasing what Rainbow Trail Chalets has to offer during your stay in Pemberton. Chalet 1 is first of four chalets and is the highest on the hill. It has awesome views with vegetation purposefully planted for maximum privacy.

This chalet floods with winter sun in the bedroom and bathroom and warms up beautifully during this cold season; it also has the largest deck with back steps directing you straight to the forest. The gardens around the chalet have turned out exactly how we wanted them and give plenty of privacy, particularly the Hardenbergia growing over the carport; it is in full flower at the moment and is stunning.

All our chalets are the same inside so I have taken photos of the outside and tried to show all views. The main photo at the top of our Facebook page was taken a while ago thus, the landscaping is more mature now, but Chalet 1 is the one higher on the hill.

If you are looking for a romantic spontaneous weekend getaway this month then head to Pemberton; winter is an awesome time of year to come down. Do a bit of bushwalking in the morning, have some lunch at either Silkwood or Lost Lake Winery or Jarrah Jacks Brewery and then head home to your warm and dry chalet for an afternoon of DVD watching, red wine drinking or card playing on your deck (weather permitting of course), this is a great day. Rainbow Trail Chalets currently has one weekend left with vacancies this month and that is Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th; this weekend will go, so if your keen book soon.

While other “farmstay accommodation” is geared toward children, Rainbow Trail Chalets has all the fun for the big kids! Our adults-only luxury accommodation is set on a stunning 117 acre property which is home to many animals. While we’re not a working “farm”, you will be able to interact with our pet kangaroos and see other native animals. Check out our Facebook page for some recent pics of animals who have come to visit our guests!

7th November 2013

OK, so we are a little quiet for the last two weeks of November and so we are going to give away a free nights accommodation with every two nights booked, that’s pay for two nights but stay for three.  Click on the Book Now Button on our website and if you can find a three night gap in November it is yours.  You will need to book yourself in quickly so you don’t miss the dates you want but write in the notes section ‘November Special’ and we will sort it out for you.

I was thinking this morning about how people come to find Rainbow Trail Chalets. While many of our guests are referrals, the majority find us via our website, which is also connected to a bunch of tourism sites around the web. One of the things we know from our website statistics is that many people view our website on their mobile device – be it an iPad, iPod or other mobile phone. With that in mind, we’re currently working on a mobile version of our website… so keep checking back for that in the next few weeks!

Down South

Down South Karri Forests

Down South Karri Forests

Along those lines, it’s my guess that many people will ask “Siri” – your iPhone’s little helper – to “Find me a place to stay down south”. This is especially true for Sand-Groper locals (click here to find out why West Aussie’s are called Sand-Gropers!) where “Down South” offers the promise of a quick getaway filled with wineries, luscious fine food and equally as luscious scenery.

Hence this blog post. When you ask Siri to find you a place to stay down South – we want Siri to include us in her reply! Tucked away in the South-West corner of Western Australia, Pemberton is one of the best places to visit “Down South“. Our beautiful town offers everything you could want in a holiday and more. We have an amazing array of activities and things to do, including swimming, bush walking, hiking, cycling, tree-climbing, wineries, etc. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re super-active or super-relaxed.

The Place to Stay? With Us of Course!

Our guests are always pleasantly surprised by the location of Rainbow Trail Chalets. We are just a 2 minutes drive from down, but our stunning property is secluded and private… from your cottage, you wouldn’t even know there’s a town nearby. It’s the best of both worlds. What’s more, everything about the chalets is luxurious. Each building is separate and private, including private balconies and parking spaces. And each chalet is complete with only the best fittings, such as wooden floors, elegant spa baths and little extras like ipod docking stations and coffee machines.

Recommended Accommodation Down South

No matter how you’ve found this website today, whether it was recommended by Siri, by your mobile phone, by another site or by a friend, we’d love to welcome you to visit us here, down south! For room availability, simply check our book now button and book your stay with us today. We look forward to meeting you!

If you’re thinking of coming “down South” to Pemberton and booking a holiday to bring in the New Year of 2014, now is the time to do it! We still have a few vacancies over New Year’s and into January, but they’re sure to be snapped up quick.

News Year’s Eve in Pemberton – What’s On?

News Years Holiday Fireworks

News Year’s Holiday Fireworks

New Year’s Eve is always a fantastic celebration in Pemberton. Although we’re usually a quiet town, we certainly know how to put on a fireworks show… and not just one show, but two! Each year, the Pemberton Hotel (a.k.a. the local Pub!) puts on two fireworks displays. The first show starts at 9pm which is perfect for families with children who love fireworks but are too young to stay up until midnight. The second fireworks display is – of course – at 12pm midnight. The standard of the display is very high, each show lasting for quite some time and always with impressive fireworks that rival those in Perth City.

New Year’s Holiday Accommodation Options

When it comes to booking your New Year’s break in Pemberton, there are plenty of accommodation styles and choices of places to stay. Of course, we recommend our own Rainbow Trail Chalets and we’d love to welcome you. Our holiday cottages are perfect for people seeking an adult’s only getaway. We have a total of four luxury chalets and each one is secluded with its own private balcony, luxury spa bath, king sized bad and is fully self-contained.

Online Bookings – Availability for News Year’s

As always, you can book your stay with us online. Simply click the “Book Now” button to view chalet availability over the New Year period. At the time of writing we have a few nights available, but we’re sure to be booked out quickly, so don’t delay. We’d love to welcome the New Year with you!

Our wonderful spa baths are just one most loved features of our cottage-style chalet accommodation. We’ve even thought of the little extras like i-pod charging docks and Nespresso coffee machines. Everything you need is here.

Something for everyone – including you!

If there’s anything we’ve learned from our guests, it’s that everyone is different. While one couple might enjoy relaxing around the chalet not doing much at all, the next couple will be off adventuring, mountain bike riding, hiking and swimming. The wonderful thing about Pemberton is that no matter what you enjoy, there’s something for you. From leisurely bushwalks and wine-tasting, right through to climbing the Gloucester Tree!

A most romantic place to stay

Rainbow Trail Chalets in Pemberton is a wonderfully romantic place to stay on your honeymoon. Pemberton’s Hidden Little Treasure ‘Goblin Swamp’ is now perfect for visiting and honing those photography skills.  A beautiful stand of Tea-Trees in a ‘Lord of the Rings’ style swamp (just missing Gollum); the reflection of the gnarly trees on the still water is just amazing.  It can be a little tricky to find, but you don’t need a 4WD to get there.

Beedalup Falls also a must see right now; with more than our share of rain lately the waterfall is perfect.  The short walk to and around the Falls is worth the effort, particularly as there is so many different types of fungus to be spotted and photographed at the moment (OK so the fungus may not of reeled you in, I understand).

If you want to visit either of these beautiful places just speak to Steve or myself and we can point you in the right direction.  We usually give plenty of advice for things to do, see and eat for while you are staying at Rainbow Trail Chalets.

So remember Pemberton is at its best from now until October and Rainbow Trail Chalets does get a bit busy during those months, so book your accommodation in Pemberton soon so you don’t miss out on your preferred dates.  We do have two ongoing specials, stay for 4 nights, pay for 3 or stay for 7 nights and only pay for 6.

Stay warm and cosy
